S and S, sisters forever

Almost three years ago, I had the privilege of ATTEMPTING to do newborn photos of a beautiful baby girl for a dear friend.  Unfortunately, the baby girl had her own ideas, and was wide-eyed and completely uncooperative!  I felt so bad that I wasn't able to give her mama the beautiful newborn images she dreamed of.  So that makes this session even sweeter for me!  This time around, new baby S slept like an angel, and we had so much fun creating the images we wanted.  Hope Mama and Papa and everyone else love these as much as I do....

I can't even convey how much fun this shoot was.  I love working with couples who have their own creative ideas.  And even though I didn't think we would find an ideal location in Bakersfield, I'm so happy with what we found, and how these turned out!  I hope you love them M and M!  Can't wait to see this little sir or madam enter your world!  Love you guys....

Love triumphs tragedy (Bakersfield photographer, Bakersfield engagement, Barstow photographer)

January 20, 2012 was one of the worst days of my life.  Just thinking about everything that happened that day makes me teary.  We lost my dear friend Lili, and she left behind two beautiful daughters.  The memories of that day, and the horrible days/weeks that followed, still haunt me.  So many people's lives were permanently changed as a result of one horrible accident.

Fast forward a year and two months, and I had the privilege of doing engagement pictures for one of those beautiful daughters.  I am so proud of "R" and the lovely young woman she has become.  And I will never forget the way "S" was vigilantly at her side through some very dark, ugly times.  Your love is amazing, and I know it will last forever, as long as you continue to weave that threefold cord.

Last month I had the great joy of welcoming my first "real" niece into the family (ie, full blood). She stole my heart from the moment I met her! Can't wait to watch her grow. Love you guys!!
